StoryCorps Wants You!

The StoryCorps Mobile Tour is excited to partner with the Indiana Disability History Project during our upcoming visit to Bloomington. We depend on community partners to help us engage the diverse voices of a community and to help us offer a comfortable space for people to share their life stories. People are invited to record about the topics that matter most to them, in the language of their choice.

A StoryCorps interview gives you the chance to ask a friend, family member, or colleague about their lives. For 40 minutes, you have the opportunity to ask the questions that really matter: What are you most proud of? What have you learned in life? How would you like to be remembered? After your recording has been processed, you’ll receive a digital copy of the interview for download. Visit the Story Corps website at to help prepare for your interview, find interview tips, and view a list of “great questions” to ask.

Recording dates: May 25 - June 23, 2017

Location: Plaza 1A on the B-Line Trail in between 7th and 8th Streets in Bloomington, Indiana

The Indiana Disability History Project is a project of the Indiana Institute on Disability and Community and is supported by the Indiana Governor's Council for People with Disabilities. As a community partner, the Institute has a limited number of interview slots available. Reservations will be offered on a first-come, first-served basis.

If you are interested in participating in a Story Corps interview, please email Peggy Holtz of the Institute's Center on Aging and Community at or call her at 812-855-2166.
