Artists with Disabilities Highlighted in Indiana Publication
“ArtsWORK provided me with practical advice in a supportive tone to develop my skills,” attests Jody Powers of Muncie, author of the novel Unmasking. The latest issue of Spark, a bimonthly publication of the Indiana Governor's Council for People with Disabilities, is dedicated to the Arts and Creativity. Along with a page devoted to ArtsWORK Indiana, three artistic Hoosiers with disabilities are profiled:
Frank Epperson: Dancing Beyond Boundaries
Terry Haffner: Painting a Picture of Inspiration
Jody Powers: For the Love of Writing
The publication also describes assistive technologies that can help people access the arts, and strategies to jumpstart your creativity.
